Causes of Premature Menopause
Women can oftentimes find themselves undergoing menopause early. If a
woman smokes, she's more likely to enter menopause a couple years before
her nonsmoking counterparts. You can even undergo premature menopause if
you've never have a baby or if you are treated with pelvic radiation or
chemotherapy for certain cancers. Your menopause may also come up early
if you've had a hysterectomy. Even though your uterus is gone, you can
still have menopause, though you won't be bleeding anymore. Essentially,
your largest factor in determining when you have menopause is your DNA.
Your mother will know more about what you're likely to experience when
you enter menopause, and when it will begin, as it's very possible that
you'll have a similar experience to hers. What makes these factors
contribute to premature menopause? No one really knows for sure. My
site, Signs of Menopause Guide has more information available.
